Ingredients: |
6 to 8 pound brisket |
Your choice of BBQ beef rub |
1 whole onion |
8 ounces of beer |
Your choice of BBQ sauce |
Directions: |
1) Rinse & Pat Dry |
2) Trim excess fat, but leave 1/4" |
3) Generously apply rub |
4) Cook for 7 hours on "smoke", turning every 2 hours |
5) After 7 hours, place in disposable foil pan |
6) Cover with whole, cut-up onion |
7) Pour beer into pan |
8) Cover with foil |
9) Cook for and additional 1 1/2 hours on Medium about 350 degrees |
10) After 1 1/2 hours uncover |
11) Add BBQ sauce, and cook for an additional 30 min, internal temperature should be around 190-210 degrees |
