Ingredients: |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2/3 cup butter or margarine |
1 3/4 cups sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 eggs |
1 1/4 cups milk |
Directions: |
1) Combine flour, baking powder, and salt, and set aside |
2) In large bowl beat Margarine or butter |
3) Add sugar and vanilla beat till well combined |
4) Add eggs one at a time and beat in first before adding the second |
5) Alternate adding milk and dry mixture to beaten bowl |
6) Grease and lightly flour two 8 x 1 ½ - inch or one 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan |
7) Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 or until knife stuck in center comes out clean |
8) Remove and let cool for 1 hour |
