Ingredients: |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
2/3 cup milk |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon cooking oil |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Cooking oil or shortening for deep frying |
4 medium mild yellow or white onions |
Directions: |
1) Cut Onions into ¼ inch thick, and separate into rings |
2) For batter in medium mixing bowl combine flour, milk, egg, 1-tablespoon oil, and salt. Beat until smooth. |
3) Dip onion rings into batter and place in hot oil (365 degrees) in a single layer for 2 to 3 minutes. |
